"David" is a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture, created between 1501 and 1504 by the Italian artist Michelangelo in marble. It is a statue of the biblical figure David, a young shepherd who gains fame in the Book of Samuel by killing the giant Goliath.

The original sculpture of David is in the Accademia Gallery in Florence.
